OUR VARIOUS PACKAGES ARE TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS AND MAY INCLUDE
WHAT DO WE HELP WITH?
There is a reason why infant sleep is a billion dollar industry. Sleep is so important. Unfortunately, there are no magic tricks, gadgets or training techniques that will work miracles for every baby or every family. Our goal is to support you to positively adapt to your infants sleep needs while also meeting your own, knowing that your routine will be constantly evolving as your baby grows. We will help you know what to expect, and how to optimize your routine to fit your family’s needs. As neonatal nurses, we know all the tips and have tried all the tricks, but know that ultimately, nighttime parenting is a relationship that is personal and how we approach it is different from family to family. You don't have to read all the books, our coaches are well versed in sleep science and will help you have realistic expectations and give you personalized support you need to get the most rest possible.
Birth Recovery Optimization
We usually spend a lot time preparing to take care of new babies, and little to no time preparing to take care of new mothers. A woman’s body is amazing and powerful, but pregnancy and birth push it to the extreme. Attention and care are needed to help it recover properly. Ignoring the needs of a new mother’s body can lead to long-lasting health problems and is ultimately bad for the baby as well. Some common issues postpartum women encounter are: persistent pain, blood clots, aching muscles, hemorrhoids, incontinence, diastasis recti, cracked nipples, mastitis, yeast infections, anemia, hair loss & painful intercourse… Our coaches can help remind you to prioritize your health so that your body can heal, and teach you little ways to make time for your body while you are consumed with taking care of the baby. Healthy mama, healthy babies.
As a new parent, every day you watch your baby change and grow before your eyes. Since all infants progress at a different pace, it can be hard for parents to know if their baby's growth and development is on track. Luckily, our coaches are experts in this field and can track baby's development for you, so you have the reassurance you need to enjoy every stage to the fullest.
Breastfeeding and Feeding Help
Just because breastfeeding is natural, does not mean that it comes naturally for many women. Our knowledgeable and supportive coaches will help you reach your breastfeeding goals, with advice and hands on support when you need it . If pumping or formulas are how you feed your baby, we will support you in that process too. We are firm believers in “fed is best.” When it is time to introduce solids, we will also guide you on how to keep your baby happy and healthy. Chubby, growing babies are our favourites.
Emotional Support - Stress and Anxiety Management
All change is stressful, and becoming a parent is one of the biggest changes you will ever experience. There is a normal amount of stress and anxiety that is to be expected during this transition, but if we are not careful, stress can overwhelm us and be devastating to our mental health. Our coaches are trained in active listening and will be your non-judgmental, objective, caring voice of reason, whenever you need it. We will also help to pick up on the difference between having a hard day, and slipping into depression, and we can guide you to get help early, if you happen to experience postpartum depression or anxiety. Studies show that home and phone visits by nurses who provide flexible care and counselling can help to prevent postpartum depression.
HOME AND LIFE Organization WITH BABY
Preparation is so helpful when you are bringing a baby into your life and there are countless ways to get your home and schedule ready to accommodate your newest family member. We will help you find your rhythm as parents and balance all of your new responsibilities. Simple tweaks can make the difference between calm and chaos. We bring the wisdom and the calm.
